Alētheiaἀλήθεια
You have read these stories so many times they went quiet. This series is where they speak again.
Somewhere along the way, Scripture can go familiar — the words known, the wonder faded, the Person you once met in them kept at a polite distance. The Alētheia Series exists to close that distance. Its name is the Greek word for truth — not truth as an argument, but truth uncovered: the veil pulled back, the thing itself, with nothing left between you and it.
These books do something the shelf rarely does. They trace Scripture back to the original Greek and Hebrew — the meaning that hides beneath English — and then render it so closely you are standing inside the scene rather than reading about it. The layers of sentiment and abstraction that centuries of retelling have laid over the text come off, and underneath, the Person is still there: the same One, doing the same thing. What you meet is never a concept or a moral lesson. It is Him.
Every title is its own work — a distinct subject, a distinct shape — but each carries the same signature:
- Original-language precision — Greek and Hebrew word studies that uncover what translation hides, never for display, always for the exact moment in the passage.
- Immersion before explanation — you feel the scene before you analyze it; the experience comes first, the understanding follows.
- The Father’s voice — a moment where He speaks directly to you, not as quoted Scripture but as the Father meeting you where you sit.
- Encounter over lesson — not information about God, but a meeting with the Person behind the text, and one truth to carry out of it.
The name was the thesis all along. In John 1:14, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us — full of grace and alētheia. Every book in the series is an encounter with that same Person, unveiled one scene at a time.
It is writing for the pew and the small group alike — for expository Bible study, sermon preparation, and personal devotion — for anyone who has known these verses for years and longed, quietly, to stand closer to them. The Greek and Hebrew word study is all there; so is the ache it answers.
The Alētheia Series — the truth, uncovered.
